Trojans News · Great job Trojan Wrestlers

This past weekend the FHS Wrestling team had 5 wrestlers compete in one of the top off-season tournaments in the US.  Jimmy Phadphom, Ethan Mitchell, Jonah Smith, Jake Noon, and Max Farmer all wrestled at the Indiana Hoosier Preseason Open in Fort Wayne.  All five wrestlers competed well against many state placers from across the country including state champions from states as far away as Missouri and Florida.  Jake Noon was able to improve on his 2018 finish and earned a runner-up finish at 223 and received an automatic bid to the Super 32 tournament. The Super 32 is the top off-season tournament in the nation, held in October in Greensboro, North Carolina.  Jonah Smith 148 had the deepest weight class in the tournament in terms of talent and numbers and went 6-2, one win away from receiving a bid as well.
